From Lindsay Weiss of the Momformation blog on ParentCenter:

"Anyway, I can’t recommend this book highly enough. I might not get another book read this entire year, but this one will get dog-eared sitting by my bedside. It reminded me that parenting can be fun and productive."

From the Viva La Feminista website:

"Bottomline, Holewa and Rice give us a book that will help us in crafting considerate children. Not to mention perhaps save our sanity at the same time."

And the interviews

Co-author Lisa Holewa discussed tips from What Kindergarten Teachers Know on the National Public Radio show "The Parents Journal with Bobbi Conner.  You can download a podcast here.

Joan and Lisa  visited with Jane Hampden, host of the program "Lake Effect," on the Milwaukee Public Radio station WUWM.  Click here to link to the program then scroll down to the bottom of the page that opens to listen to our interview.

Carrie Antlfinger, of the Associated Press Milwaukee bureau, interviewed us shortly after our book's release and wrote a story that appeared in newspapers and on web sites across the country. Here is the version that appeared on the ABC News website.

The authors were interviewed by the Catholic Herald, the archdiocesan newspaper of Milwaukee, for this story in their parenting section.

Lisa was featured as a "Mom of Reinvention" on the "Role Mommy" website in October 2008, talking about her work as a reporter and how her journalism career changed once she had children.

Freida Frisaro, one of Lisa's old pals from The Associated Press Florida bureau, talked about "What Kindergarten Teachers Know," on the Fort Lauderdale Sun-Sentinel's parenting blog. And Mary Ann Horne, a mom and blogger and production coordinator at the newspaper's sister paper, the Orlando Sentinel, also mentioned the book on that paper's parenting blog.
